Chalfont St Peter

Chalfont St. Peter, is a picturesque village situated at the south east corner of the Chiltern district. Nestled amongst rolling hills and woodland with the River Misbourne flowing through, Chalfont St. Peter is a beautiful rural location with the advantage of excellent access to London. The village has more of a small town feel with the high street enjoying a great mix of independent retailers including greengrocers, fashion shops, cafes and restaurants and bars which promote its vibrant friendly village feel. There are also excellent sporting facilities at the Chalfont Leisure Centre which is the home of the well regarded Chalfont Otters Swimming Club as well as an excellent Chalfonts Gymnastics club. Chalfont St. Peter offers excellent primary schooling both state and independent and Secondary schooling through local, grammar and independent institutions.

Located approx 10 minutes from the M25/M40 for easy commuting onto the motorway network at Junctions 16 (M25) and 1A (M40) the village is also just a short drive from Gerrards Cross train station with commuting times on The Chiltern Line of just 19 minutes into London, Marylebone. 


Chalfont St Giles

Chalfont St. Giles was named ‘Best Kept Village in 2016’.

This popular location presents as a quaint village steeped in history. It is famous for its connections with John Milton, who lived here whilst fleeing from the Plague of London. His cottage is open to the public and it was here that he completed ‘Paradise Lost’ and the sequel ‘Paradise Regained’. A traditional village duck pond is located at the bottom of the bustling high street which supports many independent shops and cafes. The Chiltern Open Air Museum is also situated close by on Gorelands Lane and won the Gold Award for small attraction of the year in the Tourism South East Awards.

Nursery, Primary and Secondary schooling options are all excellent with local well supported Chalfont St Giles Village and ….primary schools, Secondary School options of Chalfont Community College, Dr Challoners Grammar & High School and Independent Schools, The Beacon and 

Chalfont St Giles is only minutes from Gerrards Cross train station with journey times of only 19 minutes into London, Marylebone and a short drive to connect onto the Motorway networks of M25/M40/M4 at Junctions 15, 16 or 17 (M25) & 1A (M40)

Little Chalfont

As its name suggests Little Chalfont is the smallest village of The Chalfonts although still offers varied and ample housing stock for discerning potential buyers. Located on the edge of the beautiful Chess Valley, Little Chalfont is the perfect place to live for convenient commuting coupled with a countryside lifestyle. For a relatively small village centre there are excellent facilities in the busy shopping parade which includes a supermarket, bakers, butcher, pharmacy, delicatessen, hardware store, bank and many other useful retail outlets. For foodies there’s a super selection of places to eat and drink. Local produce abounds at the popular monthly Little Chalfont Farmers’ Market.

In terms of schooling there are two primary schools and Little Chalfont is also home to the highly-rated Dr Challoner’s High School for Girls with Dr Challoners Grammar School for Boys located a short distance in nearby Amersham. In addition the area is serviced by several excellent independent schools like The Beacon and ?…within a few miles. Little Chalfont has a particularly active community, which has recently created the tranquil oasis of the Little Chalfont Nature Park and also runs The Village Library. 

For sports enthusiasts there are tennis and golf clubs as well as facilities for football and cricket. There are dance and drama groups, guides, scouts and even a wine club. 

Little Chalfont has its own train station with Chiltern Line services into London, Marylebone as well as Chalfont & Latimer Underground Metropolitan Line with journey times of only 36 minutes into London, Marylebone (Chiltern Railways) and 50 mins to Kings Cross (Underground) as well a short drive to connect onto the Motorway network of M25/M40 at either Junctions 16 or 17 (M25).
