Located in the south-west of London, Wimbledon’s residential offering is fantastic. It’s helpfully split into two sections, “town” and the “village”, with the high street forming the original, medieval village. The high street provides a handsome backdrop of medieval buildings and period properties, as well as a great selection of bistros and restaurants of different cuisines for every budget and taste. Wimbledon’s village charm, convenient transport links, plentiful facilities and fantastic properties contribute to the unfailing popularity with young professionals, families and those seeking a slower pace of London life.

Wimbledon’s architecture is diverse and ranges from the Grade II listed terraced houses on Hanford Row dating back to the 1760’s, to large Victorian family homes, to sleek new flat developments built in 2016.

Home to the All England Lawn and Tennis and Croquet Club that famously hosts the annual Wimbledon tennis champions, there are plenty of health clubs and private spas around the area. The area is home to The New Wimbledon Theatre on the Broadway, which is a well-loved local attraction bringing West End productions and theatre lovers to the area. Wimbledon Common is one of the largest areas of common land and is a favourite picnic spot for locals. This leafy area has a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful homes available. It also boasts a selection of independent schools, rated “good” and “excellent” by Ofsted.

Wimbledon station runs District Line services into central and south London, with access to the overground services to Waterloo, taking just 17 minutes. South Wimbledon station provides Northern Line services. The area is also connected by bus services as well as easy access to the A3 by car and is only a short trip to Richmond and Putney.
