Westminster is home to many of the city’s prestigious historic buildings, including the Houses of Parliament. Sometimes also known as Palace of Westminster, it was initially used as the residence for the Kings of England until the fire of 1512. Now it is the home of parliament, which has been meeting in Westminster since the 13th century. The properties in this area are steeped in historical significance.
