The world-famous ponds will help you earn your meal out at one of Hampstead's multitude of restaurants and cafes, including 28 Church Row, Jin Kichi, L’Antica Pizza and many, many more. High street brands sit next to beautiful boutiques for shopping fans, and history buffs can keep themselves happy spotting the numerous blue plaques pointing out the former homes of Hampstead’s famous residents (over 60 plaques and counting). The area and nearby surroundings have a wide selection of outstanding public and private primary and secondary schools, along with prep schools, pre-schools and fine arts colleges.

The area is well serviced by bus and tube, and for cyclists looking to increase their cardio, the ride back home from town rivals an Alpine stage on the Tour de France (maybe not quite that bad, but it’s tough). This peaceful, idyllic part of the capital really does have the feel of a village to it. Combine this with the fact it has stunning properties from high ceilinged apartments to vast detached homes, and you will not be surprised to know that the property market in Hampstead is very competitive. From the notorious Bishop’s Avenue to the cute above flats on Hampstead high street, property is available, but you’ll have to be prepared to move fast if you want to call NW3 home.
